A lot has happened this week, I am going to do my best to catch everyone up to speed. My blood pressure started to get to high so I was transferred to a new doctor. I went to my new doctor on Monday morning and my blood pressure was pretty high. They did an ultrasound while I was there to make sure the baby was
ok, which the baby was and is
ok. This is when I got some shocking news. We found out the baby is a BOY. In our ultrasound before (at 19 weeks) we were told we were having a girl so we had prepared ourselves for a girl. I had gotten all of
Kaden's clothes out and sorted them by size for this baby. Now at 34 weeks we find out we are having a boy, and we have NO CLOTHES for this baby. I had already sent out girl baby shower invitations and registered as if we were having a girl. I have already started fixing the
registry and we will have to make sure everyone knows our big news.
Now to get to my blood pressure. The doctor sent me to the hospital for observation on Monday from his office. After waiting for ever at the hospital, I was finally seen and they ran some tests. He decided to keep me over night which turned into 2 nights. Right now it seems that I just have high blood pressure and not
preeclampsia like I had with
Kaden. However, because it is so high the doctor said I will not be able to carry the baby to full term. I received 2
steroid shots to help develop the babies lungs faster since he will be born early. Now the goal is for me to make it to 37 weeks. I am on strict bed rest now and will remain on bed rest until I deliver. I am still at the hospital hoping to go home today. I am going crazy here. This is the first time that I have been away from
Kaden and I'm dying to see her and be at home. The doctor is waiting on one last test result to decide if I can go home. Once I see him today he told me that we would make a plan of action. I will be sure to keep everyone updated. The good news is that since I have been on bed rest here at the hospital my blood pressure went down and is considered good right now and this was without medication!
