Mateo 2 months old

It is hard to believe Mateo is 2 months old now. He now is smiling at us when we talk to him. He weight 12 pounds 1o ounces and is 23 inches long. He has been growing like a weed recently. He is not sleeping any better but we hope that is going to change soon. We went to the doctor yesterday for his 2 month check up which included shoots. And he didn't cry at all! We are so proud of him.

Kaden and Mateo

Kaden and Mateo took pictures at Day Care this month. I am pleased with how they turned out. We had a hard time getting a picture of Mateo without a passy in his mouth. I was surprised at how well the picture of both of them turned out.

First Steps

Over the weekend, Kaden took her first step to her dad. Tonight she took more steps. She took 4 steps to her mommy! We are so excited. I can't believe my little girl is on the verge of walking.

Kaden's Kitchen

We gave Kaden the Fisher Price Learning Kitchen for her birthday. She loves it! Mommy likes it too. It teaches the alphabet, numbers, colors, and has fun songs. Kaden has already developed a bad habit; she loves to open the fridge and leave it open. Good thing it is just a play fridge. We will have to teach her to close the door.

Santa Visit

This past weekend we went to visit Santa. This was quite an adventure. The goal was to get there before Santa went on lunch break. Keep in mind that it is very hard to get out the door with 2 kids. I start getting us ready an hour before I need to leave. We had to wait for Kaden to wake up from her morning nap. So we did not get to the mall until 12:30 and they told us Santa was going on break soon and that we would have to come back at 2:00. We came back at 1:45 and they told us to come back at 2:30. We got in line at 2:15 and we didn't see Santa until 3:35ish. You can tell I was determined to get that picture with Santa. Mateo slept the entire time and Kaden did well. It wore all of us out though. Next year we will go much earlier in the month and earlier in the day. The good news out of this was we got to do some of our Christmas shopping while we waited on Santa.

Praise God

We went to the cardiologist on Wednesday with Mateo. After waiting 1.5 hours to been seen, we received the good news. The problem with Mateo's heart has corrected itself. We are very thankful this. We also made it through the visit without Mateo screaming, which is a first. Thank you for your prayers.

Cardiologist Visit

Tomorrow we take Mateo for his follow up at the cardiologist. Please pray that his problem has corrected itself.

Kaden's birthday party

We asked for people to give Kaden books. She loves to read books and mommy is glad to have some new books to read to her.

We had an Elmo theme. Kaden loves Elmo very much!

Baby Einstein: Neighboorhood Animals! Kaden loves animals and gets very excited when she watches Baby Einstein.

We gave Kaden the fisher price learning kitchen. She absolutely loves it. I will get a picture of her playing with it and post it.

On Saturday we had a party for Kaden with a few close friends. Kaden had a wonderful time and she got a lot of nice gifts.

Happy Birthday to me

It's my birthday and I can cry if I want to...

It is hard for me to believe that my baby girl is one now. She woke up a little cranky on her birthday but after she had her bottle of milk everything was all good. We celebrated her birthday with just us since it was during the week. We gave her a cupcake which she thoroughly enjoyed as you can see and sang Happy Birthday to her.

Car Show

Our beautiful girl! Two weekends ago we went to a car show. We all had a great time.
Mateo missed all the excitement. He slept the entire time.

Kaden was such a ham at the show. She sat in the car and waved at everyone as if she was a beauty queen. It was the cutest and funniest thing.

Mateo 4 weeks old

Mateo helped cheer the Dolphins to a victory last Sunday.
We could not believe he was holding his bottle by himself.

This picture is so funny to me.

Mateo had his 3 week check up. He now weighs 8 pounds 11 ounces and is 21 and a quarter inches long. He is growing rapidly. Now we just need to work on sleeping for longer stretches at a time, poor mommy is tired.

Playground Time

We went to the playground in our neighboorhood. Kaden loves to be outside and she loves to swing.

Grandma Boo gave Kaden this fun toy for her birthday. I'm not sure who likes it more Kaden or me and Gilbert.

Halloween

It has taken me forever to get these picture up but better late than never. We went to trick or treat at a mall with Kaden and Mateo's cousins, Marc and Victor.
Kaden was a Dolphin Cheerleader, Go Dolphins!

Mateo had on this cute outfit that said I'm so cute it is scary. He slept through it all.

Limo Stroller

Both kids love to go for walks. Kaden loves when we get to the lake and she gets to see the ducks.

As you can see the walk way to our door is very narrow and we barely fit in the stroller.

My Dad gave us a double stroller which we refer to as the limo stroller. We love it. It is easy to use and has multiple positions we can put the kids in.

Mateo 3 weeks old

Mateo is doing well. I can't believe he is 3 weeks old now. He eats about every 2 hours so I don't get a lot of sleep. Last week we went to the doctor for a weight check since he had not gained enough weight the week before. He weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces so he had gained 13 ounces in a week! This was good news. Tomorrow we go to the doctor for his 3 week check up.

I don't think I mentioned this before, but when we were in the hospital the doctor heard a heart murmur and they ran some tests. The cardiologist told us that all babies are born with a small hole in their heart and Mateo's was a bit bigger than usual. He said usually these things correct themselves and he would see us again in 5 weeks to reevaluate. Please pray that this has corrected itself.

Kaden has a stomach virus, she is vomiting and has diarrhea. This morning Mateo had diarrhea. I sure hope that not everyone in the house gets sick. I don't want two sick babies at the same time.

Kaden 11 months old

Look I have a Mohawk of curls!

I can not believe that in one month Kaden will be one. Time has gone by so fast. Kaden has made a lot of accomplishments in the last month. She now has 4 teeth on the top and 4 teeth on the bottom. She finally will use a sippy cup. She is talking / babbling all the time. She even babbles in sentences. The other day she asked a question, of course we had no idea what she was saying. She now says ooh, wow, bye bye, hello, moo (when she sees a picture of a cow), mama, dada, baby. She can stand on her own without holding on to anything for about 20 seconds. She is trying to walk but hasn't figured it out yet. She loves to read. Recently we started showing her Baby Einstein videos. She loves the world safari. It so cute she just talks to the video.
