Only in Miami will you live in a city for a little over 2 years and have 5 car accidents. Before I moved to Miami, since I became a driver, I had never had an accident. I moved here in May 2004 and in June, I was rear ended then in December 2004 I was in a bad car accident just one month after I bought a new car. That makes two wrecks so far (please note that none of these accidents are my
fault). My car was hit in my apartment complex a couple of months ago, then while my Mom was visiting we got tapped in the back of the car. We are up to four wrecks/accidents now (wrecks sounds so bad and only one of our "wrecks" was bad).
This morning I walked out to leave for work, only to find what you might ask. That's right, some idiot hit our car last night and the kicker is, they stayed parked next to it. Now if you hit a parked car there are two options: 1. be responsible and leave a note with your number or 2. move your car, park somewhere else, and wipe away the evidence. So you can imagine how happy I was to see my car had been hit yet again. To make a long story short, we had to call the police so that we had a claim number for our insurance. The cop was going to file a hit and run but after he sent another cop to the address of the car. The man at this address called his daughter and told her to go out to the car. It was a 20 year old girl, you could still smell the alcohol on her breath and she was as dumb as they get. Well, the good news of this story is I do not have to pay out of my pocket to fix our car.
