Kaden 15 month check up

Kaden had her 15 month check up. She weighs 26 pounds and is 32 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile for both her height and weight. She is talking a lot and saying lots of new words. Some of the words she says are bubbles, shoes, turtle, tickle tickle, and fish. She loves the outside, the dogs, and now she is interacting more and more with Mateo.

Mateo 5 month check up

Mateo had a good 5 month check up. He weighs 17 pounds. The did not do his height so I am going to do this at home. We have to take Mateo to the eye doctor because it seems like he has Strabismus. I made the appointment and the first available was in June. Please pray that everything will be fine when we go.

Mateo has been rolling over for a while now, he eats solid baby food with a spoon and loves it!, he smiles all the time but won't do it for the camera, he loves his sister and gives big smiles when they are together.

Young at Art Museum

Mateo is getting sooo big.

We went to Young at Art Museum for a Dr. Seuss Birthday Party. Kaden had fun running around and playing.

Mateo hung out with Mommy while Kaden played.

The museum had different sections for different countries. Each section had an art project related to the country as well. This section was for Haiti.

Kaden and Mateo played together in Mateo's crib. They are interacting more and more now. It is so cute to watch.

I can finally put Kaden's hair in a pony tail. As you can see she was thrilled. 2 seconds later she had pulled it out.

My little man is getting so big

Kaden carries this bag around as a purse. She walks around strutting her stuff saying bye bye. It is so cute.

Mateo 4 months old

Mateo is 4 months old now. Time is flying by.

Weight: 16 pounds 10 ounces

Height: 25 inches long

Our little boy has gotten big. We say he is going to play football just like his Dad. Mateo now rolls over, can push up on his arms, makes all sorts of noises, laughs, and has eaten rice cereal with a spoon. I remember with Kaden I couldn't wait for the her to reach every milestone but with Mateo I want him to slow down. It seems like everything is going by much faster now. We have also noticed Mateo is quite the ladies man.

3 month check up

Mateo had his three month check up last week. The doctor was very impressed with his ability to hold his head. She said that usually babies can't control their head like this until they are 4 months old. Of course we are proud parents. He is a big boy, weighing 14 pounds 10 ounces. We think he would have been over 15 pounds had he not been sick the weekend before.

Grandma Boo's visit

Grandma Boo came down to visit for the weekend. We really enjoyed getting to play with her but it went by too fast.

Mateo has just recently started enyoing his baths. Soon he will get to enjoy the big bathtub with his sister.

This is the first time that Kaden went down the slide by herself. Kaden didn't hate the slide but didn't love it either.

Peek a boo

Look at me driving.

We took Kaden to the park in our neighborhood and let her walk around. She did much better than we thought she would do. Once she got to the grass she stopped and didn't want to walk anymore. I hope she isn't going to be miss prissy.

I can't believe that Mateo is 3 months old today. He has grown so much. He now smiles all the time and Gilbert has heard him laugh. He has slept through the night 4 times this week. I hope that this will become a habit. He is adjusting to daycare better than I thought he would, although he has already caught a cold. I am not sure what he weighs now but we are going to the doctor next week for his 3 month check up.

New Hair Cut

I was well over due for a new hair style. I am very pleased with this hair cut. My hair is too short to put in a pony tail so this forces me to style it. On another note, I start back to work in the office tomorrow. I'm sad about leaving Mateo at day care. I thought it would be easier the second time around but it is just as hard. Mateo is not as easy going as Kaden was as a baby. He does not like the bouncy seat or the swing and demands to be held otherwise he screams. At day care they can not hold him all day. I have tried my best to get him used to the bouncy seat and swing but I was not very successful. I just pray that his first few days are not to hard on him.

New Toys

Stephanie gave Kaden this great toy that is a magnet for the fridge. It is a farm and you match the animals. We love it!
Santa brought this walker to Kaden. She doesn't need help walking now but it encourages her to walk instead of crawling. She is walking great bare foot. Now we are working on her walking with shoes on.
