Bed Time

We are trying to change Kaden's bed time. This week Kaden has been going to bed between 1am and 2am. This is too late for me. Yesterday we started putting her to bed at 9pm. She went to sleep around 9:45pm and we laid her down. She woke up around 10pm but was just talking to herself. Then she started crying. After 5 minutes and she was still crying, I went and picked her up. This was at 10:30pm. She wanted to eat again, so I feed her. I laid her down again and she again woke herself up. Finally at 1:30am she was asleep for the night.

Tonight Gilbert started putting her to bed at 8pm. She went to sleep around 9pm. Then she woke up again at 10:30pm and wanted to eat. It is 11:20pm and she is still awake.

Since I am working from home and I have Kaden I can't get a lot done during the day. I found myself working until 4:45am one day this week because I get the most done once Kaden is asleep.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to change Kaden's sleep schedule, I am in need of help.

Try not letting her sleep quite as long in the early evening/late afternoon. Never know if it will help...

Goodness we had the same problem and are just now getting in a routine that works the best for us. Just keep at it. If you want her taking longer naps keep her up until she literally cannot keep her eyes open. A routine will eventually establish itself. Are you workinh from home for good?

Check out this link. This is the routine we established with both boys. The book gives you a good basis to start working toward a routine quicker. Email me if you have questions about it before you check out the book. I hope you figure out something that works for you. Sleep becomes priceless--especially if you are working also. :)
