Merry Christmas!
Gilbert and I are back from the good old NC. We got back on Wednesday. Sorry it has taken me so long to post but my camera is practically broken, so I had to wait for my sister to send me some of the pictures. She is mailing the rest of the pictures so you will have to wait for the rest until I get them.
We had a wonderful and busy time. We went up to NC for Hannah's graduation. The ceremony was very nice and Hannah actually graduated. We are so proud of you lil sis! she was one of the few that graduated with honors. She attended Meredith College which I went to my first two years of college. Meredith is an all girls school, well was. Now they allow men in the graduate program. Hannah used to tell me I will never go to that school, there are no boys there. Little did she know, that she would end up there.
We went bowling that evening and had a fantastic time. Gilbert had never been bowling before. He did very well for his first time. I have to gloat for a minute because I won both games. I know my husband and brother loved loosing to me.
On Sunday we went to Wilson with my Dad. He is retiring this year from teaching and will be moving back to his home town. We had a nice time riding around and getting to see where my Dad lived as a child.
Before we knew it, it was time to load the car up and drive back to Miami. I thought we would never make it, the ride felt sooooo long this time.
I am off of work now until January 2nd! I am going to catch up some movies, reading, and cleaning.
We wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas. May this season be full of love, laughter, and joy.

North Carolina, Ready or Not Here We Come
We have packed the car and are ready to leave for the good old NC. Never did I think I would be saying how much I miss North Carolina. Since I have moved, I have come to appreciate NC and miss it dearly. My little sister is graduating from Meredith College this weekend, and I wouldn't miss this for anything. I am also getting a well needed break from work. Gilbert and I are looking forward to spending time with family and friends. I will write about the trip when we are back and will be sure to include pictures.

Left Behind
Those that know me very well, know that I love Christmas time and love to decorate. I always put my decorations up the weekend after Thanksgiving and have been told this is a bit early. However, this year as I drive around I see that a lot (and I am not exaggerating) of people have already decorated. Christmas lights on their house, trees up, the whole she-bang! Last night I saw that my neighbor had her tree up and get this: she had already wrapped gifts and put them under the tree. So I am asking myself, what is going on? It seems that everyone is skipping Thanksgiving this year. I feel the pressure to decorate for Christmas now. Last night I had to fight the urge to buy a Christmas tree on the way home from work. I have been left behind. So to all of those that make fun of me for decorating early, this year I am behind schedule.

Christmas Came Early This Year!
Christmas came early this year for me. Gilbert and I have been talking about getting another dog for a long time now. I know that you are thinking, are you nuts? you already have a dog. Well, you know it runs in the family. When I met Gilbert, he talked about getting a bulldog. Since then I fell in love with the breed. We were able to find a great deal and Gilbert bought me one for Christmas. Here are pictures of the new addition to our family, Maddy!
Random already gets along great with Maddy, and I can tell he is glad to have a playmate. They have been running all over the house together playing. They are so cute. Maddy has a great personality. She loves to play and chew. I have to watch her like a hawk, because I don't want her to chew my furniture. It was hard to get a good picture of her since she has not laid down yet. It looks like it will be a long nite.

Can you feel the Heat?
Gilbert and I went to see the Miami Heat receive their rings on Halloween. This was a very special event as it was the first title for this 18 year old franchise. All the players were excited to receive their 8 carat diamond rings. Clearly their heads were not in the game but focused on the rings they had just received. We are privileged to have witnessed this historical moment. They Heat put on a magnificent display for the ring ceremony. As soon as I figure out how to upload a video, I will show parts of the ceremony. We had a great time even though our team played like garbage.
